Ok , my first real thread. I am 5'8" , 145lb and when i picked up the bike from the dealer the factory setting's where way to stiff, I was almost flying off the bike going over small bumps in the road, made for a very uncomfortable ride. After doing a bit of research I found that the factory fork pre-load is set at 3.5 out of 6 turns out, and the rear shock 3 out of 7 turn from bottom up. I immediately adjusted the pre-load to 2.5 in the front and 2 in the rear. Which resulted in a tremendous difference in the feel, comfort, and responsiveness of the bike. I also notice that the bike stopped pulling wide out of corners, a sign of to much pre-load in the forks. Just a small adjustment suggestion for those more "nibble" riders. Once I get a friend to help I will measure the static, dynamic, and rider sag (off my dimensions) and post up on what I find, factory and adjusted.

I just measured out my stock suspension the other night - going to throw it into a spreadsheet and see how far out my settings are for what is acceptable sag. I will post up my findings and what I can do to make adjustments. It looks like I'm going to need some Heavier springs to start. (6'2, 215 lbs)
