Got some sweet Tag T2 Fatbars and Mount kit, went to install them but found the throttle cables and brake line are too short!
Has anyone installed Fatbars? Am I missing something, or do the cables etc need to be lengthened on this bike for Fatbars to fit?

Can you free them up by the neck?

Ok... got it sorted! Turns out if you use the adaptor type mounts (which sit on top of your stock mounts) it raises the bars up to high making it impossible to use existing cables and lines. Luckily I had a set of solid fatbar mounts (which replace the stock mounts all together) in the garage! The cables etc are still a fairly tight fit, had to move the controls all in a bit from the end of the bars but it works!

Any benefits that you've noticed?

Any benefits that you've noticed? For me benefits are: 1. Wider and less angled grip position. Feels more street fighter, rather than stock bars which to me felt narrow with too much angle back towards rider. 2. Look awesome. (not sure about the bar pad though, haven't decided whether i like it with or without better yet)
All personal preference i guess.

Can you take a picture of the original bars resting on the current Fatbars for comparison (preferably taken without a wide angle lens to mitigate distortion)?

Here are a couple more pics: Tag Metals T2 Fatbars - CR Low bend. 1. As they are now (no bar pad) Much nicer I think. 2. Comparison of the stock bars. Attachments:

Any chance you could tell me which black levers you have there?

Any chance you could tell me which black levers you have there? Yeah they are just the cheap ebay ones. They work ok and look sweet, but you do get what you pay for. I had to file down part of the clutch lever as it didn't quite fit the shape of the perch. Not a major but would have been nice if it just fit.

Look like the levers I should be getting next week. Good to know I'll probably need to get my file handy for install. Did it have bushings or just reuse the stock ones?
Bar wise, it looks good. Much nicer looking without the eyesore of a pad there lol. I do like the black bar over the silver bar. Then again, I notice your bike is white so is that a GSR?

Nah no bushings, just straight in. Yeah its the 2015 GSR. I'm in NZ, we don't get the GSX-S here but from what i understand its the same bike just re-badged for the US market.
