I thought I knew what I was getting myself into when I got a naked bike with a powerful engine, but man! This thing has less wind protection than my DRZ. Has anyone tried any form of a windscreen? At the moment, it does not matter how close I tuck to the tank behind the "lip" of the headlight, my helmet still gets thrown around at higher speeds.

My buddy has a ktm 1190 which came with a factory adjustable screen. He says it is great, but I'm not sold on it actually changing much on our bikes unless you tuck regularly.

Itexmon has the Suzuki windscreen and says it's a huge difference on the highway. It doesn't take much to get the wind off our helmets with this bike it seems.
How fast are you going to get your head thrown around? I cruise around at 120kph on the highway just fine most days, if I get to close to a truck I'll catch some turbulent air and it'll push me around but otherwise it's clean and steady.

When I was chasing my buddy on a Ninja 636 on the straightaway at our local track, any time over 120-130 mph my helmet gets pretty bad wind blast. Highway cruising though I find sitting up just fine.

90mph and up tends to bounce me pretty good...

Isn't 90mph kinda far exceeding the highway speed limit?? Our fastest highway system in BC is 120kph / 75mph and that is pretty quick for a highway. Figured things would be roughly the same.

Out here if you do the speed limit, your in the way. I'm not at all condoning speeding, but you have flow with traffic. Which means when I'm on the tollway I'm normally cruising at 80. I don't find the wind that bad at that speed, but anything more gets rocky. I am interested in the suzuki wind screen, but from the replies nobody has gotten it yet. Am I right?

I would say on the track a windscreen would benefit! I suppose it depends on how many straights you have to deal with and what type of bucket you have. My local track only has one heavy straight where I hit about 180 km/hr I noticed the helmet presses into my face to the point the breath guard touches my nose but no head shake - I have an HJC RHPA 10 to it's pretty streamline. I don't have much problem without a screen on the streets / highways though. I noticed with my last helmet I had a SENA intercom on it and when I was going quick in a straight line over 180 I would get a brutal head shake and have to slow down. It was bad enough that I decided not to put one on my new bucket. Even on the track with the sena removed but the mount still on I would notice it...

U.S. expressway (multi-lane, direction divided by large median) speeds vary by location. A LOT. Here in NY we have "parkways" that are marked 55mph and the flow of traffic will vary between that and 65. Down in Texas at least one expressway is marked up to 85mph....

I just got back from a 1,000 mile round trip to the tail of the dragon with the sport screen. It is a small improvement but you really have to be tucking to make use of it. I'm wearing a Shoei X-Twelve and if I'm under the wind stream high speeds are smooth sailing. The sport screen moves the wind blast from my stomach area to right under my neck, so tucking gets me out of the way.
